The Life Skills Experimental Film and Video Group is a weekly drop-in project based peer driven support network for Film, Video & Audio creation. It’s core members are DTES residents and is facilitated by Christophe Runne, Quin Martins and Brady Marks. Originally formed in the Life Skills Centre, we are currently housed in the Inter Urban Gallery and support by the Canada Council for the Arts. The groups aims to further the participant artists’ practice and careers though one on one and peer mentorship.

The LifeSkills Film and Video Group is a collective of Downtown Eastside artists. We are passionate about filmmaking and experimenting with different forms of expression. We attempt to make socially and politically provocative film and video and are concerned with the manner in which our neighbourhoods and city are being rapidly transformed and gentrified.

The group is open to the public at the Interurban - #1 East Hastings at Carrall Street.

Meetings are open to people who would like to learn/discuss using video as art and are unable to afford tuition at a typical learning centre.
